Check for updates
ProcessModel keeps itself up to date. It checks for a newer version on its own, and you can check whenever you like from Help ▸ Check for Updates.

When you are already current
Section titled “When you are already current”If you have the latest version, the check tells you so and shows the version you are on, for example 7.0.4850. There is nothing to do.
When an update is available
Section titled “When an update is available”If a newer version exists, a panel shows the new version number and a list of what is new, and offers three choices:
- Install now: downloads the update and installs it. ProcessModel closes to finish, then reopens.
- Install on exit: downloads the update now and applies it the next time you quit, so it never interrupts your work.
- Remind me later: puts it off until tomorrow, one week, or two weeks.
The download shows its progress as it goes.
Automatic checks
Section titled “Automatic checks”Check for updates automatically is on by default. With it on, ProcessModel does a quiet check shortly after it starts and only speaks up when there is something to install. Clear the checkbox on the update panel to turn it off; checking from the Help menu still works either way.
