What Computer and Software do I need for the Course?

Computer requirements:

• ProcessModel is certified on PC platforms running Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating systems, and will run using the minimum hardware requirements specified by Microsoft for these operating systems.
• Headset with microphone. If you do not already have one, may we suggest a headset such as this one.

Software requirements:

• ProcessModel 5.3 - Test your installation by opening and running a demo model. Download the current version.
• Microsoft Excel version 2003 or newer.

Internet Connection:

• Connection speed greater than 1.5 Mbps

Final Preparations for the Course

Test your ProcessModel Installation:

1. Login using an account with typical user permissions.
2. Start ProcessModel by clicking Start | All Programs | ProcessModel | ProcessModel 5.
3. Open a demo model by clicking File | Open. The select the Call Center model.
4. Click Simulation | Save & Simulate. This will begin the model simulation. The default simulation time is 40 hours (simulation time, not actual time). The speed of the simulation can be adjusted by using the horizontal scroll bar at the top of the simulation window.
5. When the simulation completes you will be asked if you want to see the results. Click the No button. You will return to the model layout window.

Test your connection to the Training Site:

• Login in to the training site on the Monday preceeding the start of the course between 10:00 and 11:00 AM (Eastern Time).
• Each participant must verify their connection during this time.
• A separate email with site login instructions will be sent to participants

Cancellation Policy:

• If you cancel more than 21 days prior to the course, you receive a full refund.
• If you cancel between 14-21 days prior to the course, you receive a 50% refund.
• If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the course, you receive no refund.
