Installation

  1. You must be logged in as a user with local administrator permissions.
  2. When upgrading from any currently installed version of ProcessModel prior to 5.0.206, you will need to uninstall the current version before installing this product. Using Windows XP or Windows 2000, you uninstall ProcessModel by running the Add or Remove Programs applet from within Control Panel. If you are running Windows Vista, use the Programs and Features application from Control Panel. If you currently have version 4.2.7 you will also need to uninstall iGrafx System.
  3. If you are using a CD to install your software, simply insert the CD and the installation will begin. Skip to step 7.
  4. If you are installing from a downloaded file, use Windows Explorer or My Computer to browse to the location where you saved the downloaded .zip file.
  5. Double click the downloaded .zip file.
  6. Double click on the executable file shown (e.g. PCMx.x.x.exe).
  7. Click the Install ProcessModel… option and follow the prompts.
  8. After the installation is complete, start ProcessModel by clicking Start | All Programs | ProcessModel | ProcessModel 5.
  9. If you see a license screen, you can either enter a license key or just click the OK button to use the evaluation version. If you don’t see a license screen, your software has already been licensed.

License Keys

License keys purchased prior to version 5.2.0 are not compatible with 5.2.0 or higher and must be upgraded by contacting ProcessModel at 801-356-7165. If you have already purchased a 5.2.0 (or higher) license key, you will receive an e-mail containing a link and instructions for obtaining your license key on-line.

Compatibility

  1. Model files are upward and downward compatible between 4.x and 5.x.
  2. 4.2.7 package files (.pak) are upward compatible to 5.x. But 5.x package files (.zip) are not downward compatible with 4.2.7. Package files from 4.2.5 and earlier are not compatible with 5.x.
